You’ve Got Tools
The above mailbox is not a mailbox. It sits on top of a fence post in our backyard. Inside you will find gardening tools. So I guess it’s a toolbox.
I love tools. Having the right tool for the job is a beautiful thing. A can-opener to open a can, a jig-saw to cut a jagged or curved line in wood or metal, a lug nut wrench for removing a wheel. The same is probably true, to some extent, for the tools our brains use: words, numbers, equations, concepts, yada, yada, yada.
“Yada” is probably not a very sharp term. It’s more of a duct tape sort of word.
Makes me wish there were a sort of Mind Depot from which I could acquire intellectual tools. Maybe it’s called a university.
