Science Captures “Face of God”
This morning, over at the excellent site, Astronomy Picture of the Day, I saw the face of a god. And here it is:

Of course, this would be the face of the Egyptian god, “Ra.”
Some people make the argument that science and religion deal with different types of knowledge/knowing. I wonder. 1) Why do the things that religious people claim to “know” appear to be fully culturally relative? 2) Why has science, through the years, been progressively exposing religious knowledge as false (cosmological, biological, psychological, etc.)?
The above is one hot photo, if you ask me. And to think that a human-made spacecraft was able to extend our vision so dramatically!
Should I say, praise be to science!?
Or would a simple, awesome! do?
