What in the world? Man-made or natural? Answer below the fold.
Man-made. Machine made, really. It’s the outer, non-absorbent layer of a “pet pad.” It’s like a diaper for dogs that goes on the floor. It seems that part of the process involves melting a bunch of strands together, making them hold together. Easier and cheaper than tying or weaving, I imagine. x200
