Manatee Food
This pic was taken while boating on the St. John’s River. Of the floating vegetation, manatee particularly enjoy water-lettuce — the larger and lighter green plant. I wonder what it tastes like. The next time I go boating I think I’ll sample a piece — with my nose. By breaking off a leaf and tearing it, my sinus olfactory receptors will provide me with more information about this plant.
